Workforce Skills Improvement Grant

Do you have employees who need to upskill but face obstacles? 

There is a grant of up to £3,000 per business (based on up to 100% costs) available to enable businesses to train employees who are:

• Currently trained to level 1 and 2 (Learn more about the levels)
• In entry-level positions
• In work poverty

Cyngor Gwynedd is keen to help businesses upskill their employees, by enabling them to free up their staff's time to train, and overcome other barriers.

You can use this grant to pay for:

• Training
• Travel costs
• The costs of funding another person to do the work of the staff member being trained, while they are receiving the training
• Other costs associated with freeing up staff to attend training

Thanks to UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) funding allocated by Cyngor Gwynedd, the Workforce Skills Improvement Grant fund is now open but the claims process must be completed by September 2024, so the opportunity needs to be seized as soon as possible.
