Naming ceremonies
A naming ceremony is an option for anyone who doesn’t wish to hold a religious christening ceremony. These ceremonies do not have a legal status. A registrar will hold the ceremony on your behalf, and you will receive a commemorative certificate. It is possible to include your choice of readings and music in the ceremony. However, religious readings or music will not be allowed.

View fees
A non-refundable fee will be payable to confirm the date and the location with the registration service.
The remainder of the fee can either be paid to the registrar when you meet before hand to discuss the ceremony in detail, or on the day of the ceremony. We can accept cash, credit or debit card, cheque or postal order made payable to 'Gwynedd Council'.
