Chwarel Cyf

Chwarel Cyf, an award-winning independent television production company based in Cricieth successfully secured a £40,155.11 ARFOR grant. With a growing portfolio of successful productions, including BAFTA, RTS, and Broadcast Award-winning Great House Giveaway and the Welsh-language version of Gogglebox on S4C, Chwarel has seen rapid growth in recent years.

To support this momentum, with the support of the ARFOR grant, Chwarel created two new roles integral to the company’s continued development. These positions offer valuable learning and career opportunities specifically for Welsh speakers, strengthening the company’s commitment to promoting and using the Welsh language in the creative industry.

The funding has enabled Chwarel to expand its capacity and further develop new and exciting formats. It has also allowed them to continue delivering high-quality content while fostering the next generation of Welsh-speaking talent within the television production sector.
