Scaffolding
You must have a scaffolding, hoarding and/or other structure license to erect scaffolding on a public road. This includes erecting scaffolding, hoarding and/or other structure on a public road, pavement, footpath, verge or alleyway. The Council is responsible for providing these licences.
How do I apply?
Applications are made on-line and are only accepted by scaffolding, hoarding and/or other structure companies. Individual members of the public cannot apply for a scaffolding license.
If you need to erect scaffolding, hoarding and/or other structure contact your desired company and they will apply for the license.

Please complete the application at least 5 working days before the date you want the license to start.
Fees
£110 up to 10 metres per scaffold, hoarding and/ or other structures.
£128 10 to 50 metres per scaffold, hoarding and/ or other structures.
£145 over 50 metres per scaffold, hoarding and. or other structures.
If permitted an application is valid for 3 months.
In order to receive a longer license you must renew before the first license expires.
Renewal fees
£110 up to 10 metres per scaffold, hoarding and/ or other structures every consecutive month.
£128 10 to 50 metres per scaffold, hoarding and/ or other structures every consecutive month.
£145 over 50 metres per scaffold, hoarding and/ or other structures every consecutive month.
