Help is available if you’re finding it difficult to keeping your house warm. You might be eligible to have work done on your house such as improve insulation or a new heating systems through schemes such as Nyth and Eco 4.

Cold Weather Payment

You do not need to apply. If you’re eligible to get Cold Weather Payments, you’ll be paid automatically.

Winter Fuel Payment

If you were born before 25 September 1957 you could get between £250 and £600 to help you pay your heating bills.

Warm Home Discount Scheme

You could get £150 off your electricity bill for winter 2023 to 2024 under the Warm Home Discount Scheme.

The money is not paid to you - it’s a one-off discount applied to your electricity bill between early October 2023 and 31 March 2024.

Pension Credit

Pension credit could give you around £3,900 a year, on average, to help with your living costs if you’re over State Pension age and on a low income. Plus, you could get the Winter Fuel Payment.

Charis Park Homes Discount Scheme

If you live in a Park Home and pay your electricity bill directly to the site owner you may be eligible for a £150 payment towards your energy bills through Charis.
