Terms and conditions - Seasonal Parking Permit (maritime)
- Seasonal parking tickets are only valid for use at the chosen location - the ticket cannot be used at any other car park or beach within the county.
- A season parking ticket does not ensure that there is a reserved parking space for you.
- The parking ticket must always be displayed in a visible position on the inside of the windscreen. Council Officer regularly monitor the car park and beach
- The parking ticket is non-transferable and should only be displayed on the vehicle to which it is allocated.
- Any vehicle displaying imitation or fake tickets will be reported to the Police immediately.
- There will be a cost for replacement of lost or damaged parking ticket.
- The vehicle and any possessions left in the vehicle are left entirely at the owner’s risk.
- The season parking ticket is issued subject to the rules and regulations, as laid down by Cyngor Gwynedd and may be withdrawn at any time without notice by the Council if the rules are not complied with.
- Cyngor Gwynedd retains the right to refuse to renew a parking season ticket where the holder has persistently contravened the conditions and regulations of use or has prevented or obstructed the Council from undertaking its duties.
- Morfa Bychan (Black Rock Sands) only – it will be mandatory for those eligible for a discount, i.e. those living permanently within Porthmadog’s Town Council boundary or residents residing on a permanent basis in Gwynedd, to show proof of address when collecting a seasonal parking ticket (e.g. utility bill or drivers licence). Please note parking tickets will not be issued without proof of address.
- Strictly no overnight parking.
- From the end of June onwards the beach barrier at the main entrance will be locked between 20:00 and 09:00 the following day. Please ensure you leave the beach with your vehicle before the beach barrier is locked.
- A 10 MPH speed restriction is strictly enforced when driving on the beach, and drivers observed speeding or driving in a reckless manner risk prosecution by North Wales Police.
- Please be aware of the incoming tide when parking on the beach. Remember to follow the notices on the signs on the beach.
