Period Dignity

Tackling period poverty remains a priority for the Welsh Government.

Through the 'Period Proud Wales Action Plan' it is clear that there is a strategy to end menstrual poverty and ensure menstrual dignity in Wales. The main aim of the scheme is to ensure that every individual has access to the necessary goods without feeling ashamed, this is to establish a nation that is proud of menstruation.  

 

Cyngor Gwynedd is committed to tackling period poverty and is proud as a local authority through the Welsh Government's Menstrual Dignity Grant to be able to provide those in need with free sanitary products.

 

Who can receive goods?

The goods are available to individuals undergoing menstruation. We have ensured that resources to support you are located across the county and that our providers can offer you with the necessary products for free. 

 

Where are the providers?

The goods are available in a number of different organisations and organisations for you, in appropriate places that is open day-to-day.
