ECO4 Flexible Eligibility (LA ECO4 FLEX) Funding

A scheme that helps people save energy and money on heating their homes. Under ECO4, you could be eligible for energy efficiency improvements in your home such as a new central heating system, solar panels and/or insulation.

Council Tax Reduction

A Council tax reduction is a reduction in your Council tax bill based on your income, the size of your family, other adults who live with you and the amount of Council tax you must pay.

Several locations across Gwynedd offer a ‘Warm Welcome’ for anyone to come in for shelter, chat, and a cup of tea.

Empty Homes Schemes

Schemes are available to renovate empty homes to an acceptable standard of living, this includes grants and loans from Cyngor Gwynedd and the Welsh Government.

This can include measures to improve the energy efficiency of the house and make it warmer.

Nest Wales provides impartial energy advice and can offer free energy efficiency improvements to those who qualify.

A grant to help pay for essential costs, such as food, gas, electricity, clothing, or emergency travel.

Council Tax exemption or reduction for severe mental impairment

Anyone who is medically certified as being Severely Mentally Impaired (SMI) may be eligible for a Council Tax exemption or discount. This means that the person will have a severe impairment of their intellectual and social functioning that appears to be permanent.
